About
A trading company built on knowing exactly what the metal is.
Who we are
We handle a wide variety of stainless steel, low alloy steels, die steel, nickel, cobalt, complex nickel superalloys, pure metals and ferro-alloys, which arise from the petrochemical, oil and gas, industrial gas turbine and aerospace sectors.
These arisings are 100% sorted, segregated, processed and certified, then sold to end customers around the world to be melted back into their parent alloys as either air-melt or vacuum grade products.
We serve a range of industries with environmental compliance and cost-effective recycling solutions for stainless steel, soft metallic waste streams, superalloy reverts, high temperature alloys and pure metals.

What makes us different
Four things we do not compromise on.
- 01
Both sides of the chain
We supply prime alloys and recover them at end of life. Handling material in both directions is what keeps our grade identification accurate.
- 02
Nothing leaves unsorted
Arisings are 100% sorted and segregated before processing, so alloy content is never quietly downgraded into a mixed stream.
- 03
Certified, not assumed
Material is analysed and certified before sale, so what reaches the melt shop matches what was ordered.
- 04
Difficult streams welcome
Fine dusts, filtercakes, sludges and mixed tungsten forms are routine work rather than exceptions.
How IMS works
Six steps from arising to certified supply.
- 01
Source
Material is collected as arisings from petrochemical, oil & gas, industrial gas turbine and aerospace operations, alongside our international supply network.
- 02
Inspect
Incoming loads are sampled and booked in. Feed stock is checked against the declared specification before it enters the process.
- 03
Sort
Arisings are sorted and segregated by alloy family and grade, so that material is never downgraded by being mixed with a lower specification.
- 04
Process
Streams are processed into a saleable form — from coarse solids through to extremely fine metallic dusts and powders.
- 05
Certify
Our metallurgical laboratory analyses production and issues the certification that accompanies the material to the customer.
- 06
Supply
Certified material is supplied to end customers worldwide to be melted back into its parent alloy as either air-melt or vacuum grade product.

Talk to our team about your material requirements.
Tell us the alloy, the stream or the volume you are working with and we will come back with a route for it — whether that is supply, recovery or both.
